🎮 How to Play Jacks or Better
Jacks or Better is a popular video poker game where the goal is to make the best possible 5-card poker hand.
Game Flow:
1. Place your bet using the bet selector.
2. Click "Deal" to receive your initial 5 cards.
3. Select cards you wish to keep by clicking on them (they'll be highlighted).
4. Click "Hold Selected" to lock in your chosen cards.
5. Click "Draw" (the button changes after dealing) to replace unheld cards.
6. Your hand is evaluated and you win if you have a pair of Jacks or better.
7. Click "New Game" to start over with your current balance.
🃏 Poker Hand Rankings
Hands are ranked from highest to lowest as follows:
Royal Flush
Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten of the same suit. The highest possible hand.
Straight Flush
Five consecutive cards of the same suit. A Royal Flush is actually the highest type of Straight Flush.
Four of a Kind
Four cards of the same rank, plus any fifth card.
Full House
Three of a kind plus a pair. For example: three Kings and two Fives.
Flush
Any five cards of the same suit, not in sequence.
Straight
Five consecutive cards of mixed suits.
Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same rank, plus two unmatched cards.
Two Pair
Two different pairs, plus one unmatched card.
Jacks or Better
One pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces.
💡 Tips & Strategy
• Always hold a paying hand (Jacks or better).
• With no paying cards, hold any high cards (Ace, King, Queen, Jack).
• If you have four cards to a Royal Flush, hold all four.
• With three cards to a Royal Flush, hold those three.
• Bet max coins for the best payout on Royal Flush.
